Dr. RAFATH BAIG, M.D.
Orthopaedic Spine Surgery
Dr. Rafath Baig was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, in a family grounded in Old World values like hard work, integrity, and compassion. These principles have shaped his journey as both a healer and spine surgeon. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and went on to attend the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine for his medical degree.
Dr. Baig received extensive training in Orthopaedic Surgery during his residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, New York. He further honed his expertise in complex spinal surgery through a fellowship at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Known for his humble candor and sense of humor at the bedside, Dr. Baig exhibits laser focus and precision in the operating room. Many of his patients, debilitated by chronic pain and reliant on narcotic medications, find hope in his care. His most rewarding moments come from using his surgical skills to relieve chronic pain and free his patients from chemical dependency.
With his subspecialty training and extensive experience, Dr. Baig often takes on surgical challenges that other spine surgeons may decline, achieving transformative outcomes for his patients through dedication and expertise.

Dr. Walter Calvin Damper, D.O.

Dr. Walter Damper was raised in Arizona, where he developed a passion for patient-centered care, blending compassion, precision, and innovation. He earned his Associate degree from Phoenix College and continued his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cumberland College. He later completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University in Missouri.
Dr. Damper completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, following a transitional internship at Chino Valley Medical Center in California. He advanced his training through an Interventional Spine, Musculoskeletal, and Pain Management Fellowship at Non-Surgical Orthopedic P.C. in Georgia.
Throughout his career, Dr. Damper has remained dedicated to helping patients overcome acute and chronic pain. He has served across Arizona, New Hampshire, and New England in diverse clinical settings, performing over 48,000 spinal and joint injections guided by ultrasound and fluoroscopy. His specialties include spinal and peripheral neuromodulation, radiofrequency ablation, and minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD) procedures.
Dr. Damper is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and holds active licenses through the Arizona Medical Board and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. He has received numerous accolades, including the Top Pain Management Doctor Award by Best in Arizona Magazine and Patients’ Choice Awards from Vitals.com.

Known for his holistic approach, Dr. Damper combines osteopathic principles, regenerative medicine, and sports therapy to support patients of all ages—including professional athletes and those with post-surgical pain syndromes. His clinical philosophy centers on restoring function, reducing reliance on narcotics, and improving quality of life through advanced, non-surgical solutions.
